Join our First Lego League Challege Robotics Team as an assistant coach. This year's competition is called "Super Powered".

We have two locations that need coaches:
-at the Greenbriar Mall
-in West End

"Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students ages 9-16* engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering - building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of Challenge, teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem."

Mission Statement

At Greater M Power Tutoring NP, our mission is to partner with churches, schools, and community organizations to provide life and academic enhancing programs. The mission of the Business Development Initiative (BDI) is to equip youth with the tools, skills, and support to become successful entrepreneurs.

Description

We have partnered with BDI (Business Development Initiative) to continue and expand on their legacy of providing support to budding entrepreneurs in the form of tutoring, an after-school program, and a teen program. BDI has a long history of being community leaders and strong proponents of entrepreneurship, especially in under-served communities.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
This school year we are piloting an after-school program for children in third through middle school that focuses on character building, entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and public speaking. Academic support is also available in the form of homework help or private tutoring. The After-School program will be held during the school year, Monday through Friday.

TEEN PROGRAM
The teen program is a 13-week course offered on Sunday afternoons. The goal of this pilot course is to give the youth a solid foundation in the skills, knowledge and framework needed to become a successful entrepreneur.
