QUICK OVERVIEW
Everyone has a story that matters and yours may be exactly what a student needs to hear right now.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
PLUS ME Project is currently recruiting 100 volunteer Guest Speakers for an annual event called Motivational March during which relatable role models inspire students by sharing their stories of struggle and success virtually in classrooms.
During the week of March 20th - March 24th, PLUS ME will match Guest Speakers with high school classrooms across LA to share their life struggles and accomplishments with youth. Sessions are scheduled between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm PST. Each Guest Speaker will be able to indicate their availability and preference for that week.
IMPACT
"If only PLUS ME were around when I was younger."
This is something we often hear from volunteers. A relatable role model can have a meaningful positive impact on a student's life. Share your story with a group of middle school or high school students in Los Angeles and become that role model by inspiring the next generation of leaders.
VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
During the week of March 20th - March 24th, PLUS ME will place Guest Speakers in virtual classrooms to inspire LA youth with their stories.
All volunteers must attend a virtual onboarding session where they will learn more about PLUS ME, meet fellow volunteers, and receive guidance on building their stories. Each volunteer is also invited to fundraise for PLUS ME using tools provided by our team. All dollars raised help our organization continue motivating LA youth through the power of story on our Road To A Million.
Guest speakers will be virtually zoomed into a live high school classroom in Los Angeles. After a Guest Speaker shares their 10-15-minute story, the students will have the opportunity to ask questions. There will be a PLUS ME staff member in each classroom to facilitate the whole experience.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with youth from underserved areas
