Odyssey of the Mind is an educational non-profit that teaches students to develop and use creativity in the pursuit of problem-solving. It emphasizes skills such as time management, teamwork, public speaking, and more.
We're seeking individuals who can support our state tournament efforts on March 19th, 2023. There are a wide variety of positions available depending on time and interest, which can be broadly categorized into scoring and non-scoring roles.
Here is an overview of the types of roles for which you could volunteer:
- Non-judge volunteer: This position may include responsibilities such as supporting the sales booth, assisting with site finding, check-in, keeping sites clean, etc.
Judging Positions:
- Problem Judge: Scores the main elements of the team's performance
- Style Judge: Scores a special set of elements of the team's performance
- Time Keeper: Introduces teams at the start of their performance and times performances
- Staging Judge: Supports teams as they check-in for their performances
- Score Checker: Checks and inputs scores at the competition site
- Score Room: Supports overall scoring management and calculations
- Spontaneous Judge: Scores the short-term portion of the competition

Judges will need to attend a ~60 minute virtual training session at 7 PM on either February 27 or 28.
