The Bay Area Street Pantry in Oakland, CA needs volunteers on Friday mornings and afternoons to help alleviate hunger and food insecurity within the local community. We have been serving the Oakland area with free food since 2018. Since October of 2022, our client base has grown 66% and as we continue to grow we will need more support from volunteers!
We operate out of the Melrose branch of the Oakland Public Library system. We do not ask for any personal information from our community; we only ask that they take what they need and will use. We begin setup at 9:00am and clean-up takes us until about 1:00pm (sometimes 1:30pm). If you're able to come and help us out during this time, please reach out!

Description
The Conservancy Corp was founded in 2018 to further the mission of our partner organization, EDFU Foundation. The Conservancy Corp focuses on charitable programs and research and education programs. Our largest program is currently the Bay Area Street Pantry that hands out food to the Oakland, CA area. We give out 100+ bags of groceries to the hunger every Tuesday.
