Emergency Pet Housing & Support Needed

Can you take a senior dog into your home and get her back on her paws, for up to 4 weeks?

We are a social services agency that helps elders find safe and stable housing and community supports.

One of our clients has a senior female small breed dog (maybe a Shih Tzu) who needs care and a temporary home while her person, an elderly Oakland woman, finds safer housing.

We seek an Emergency Pet Volunteer who can bring a small dog into your home, bring her for grooming, and bring her for vaccinations.

We will pay for all out-of-pocket expenses for grooming, vet care, food and supplies.

Please help us help our client, who is a bedridden elderly female who we are connecting to in-home care, medical care, personal care and stable housing.

We are asking for a 4 week commitment. We do not know this dog's history and therefore we request a volunteer that does not have small children or cats.
