Objective: Serves as the volunteer leader of the Walk to Cure Arthritis Committee.
Recruits and supervises the event committee. Works in partnership with the Arthritis Foundation staff to create a plan of action to ensure event goals and objectives are met.​​

  • Responsibilities:

    • Develop a plan of action with staff to ensure budgetary goals are met.
    • Recruit and lead a team of volunteers to build and implement the overall event strategy.
    • Main contact for committee members working on team recruitment and retention, fundraising contests and prize procurement, team captain packets and fundraising materials, team captain outreach, cultivation events
    • Support committee members with their individual projects
    • Prepare agendas and lead committee meetings.
    • Recruit teams from your own network
    • Serve as the official volunteer spokesperson for the Walk in your community.
    • Attend the Walk to Cure Arthritis and conduct pre/post Walk announcements.
