Event Description:

Join staff in mulching and maintaining the grounds around the Raleigh Rose Garden. Volunteers will help mulch the bio-retention area, arbor, minis, shade garden.

Duties:

Volunteers will use pitchforks, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other tools to haul and spread mulch in the rose beds

Work Environment:

We will be working outside in the elements, so dress accordingly. There is the possibility of uneven ground. There is a restroom on site.

Requirements:

• Age: 16 . Those under 16 must have a parent/guardian present
• Up-to-date release form. *Those under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature*

Other Instructions:

• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
• Wear close-toed shoes such as sneakers or hiking boots
• Bring your own filled water bottle
• Additional details about parking and trash disposal will be emailed to all registered volunteers

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours
