Are You Retired? Make a Difference with Vitalant in El Paso!
If you’re retired and looking for a way to give back to the community, Vitalant needs you! We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help at our Mobile Blood Drives in Las Cruces, and we’d love to have you on board!
What You’ll Do:- Welcome & Check-in Donors: Be the friendly face that makes donors feel at ease and ready to give.
- Provide Support & Information: Answer questions and explain the donation process with a smile.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly: Help set up and maintain the reception and hospitality areas, ensuring everything is clean and stocked.
- Encourage Donors: Restock snacks and drinks, and encourage donors to stay hydrated after donating.
- Support the Team: Assist with reminder calls and follow-up activities when needed.
- Must be 16+ (retirees welcome!)
- Friendly and reliable: A positive attitude and dependable nature are key!
- Commit to at least 50 hours per year (and you get to choose your schedule!)
- Reliable transportation to our Donor Centers in El Paso
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check
- Help Save Lives: Every shift you work helps ensure blood is available for those who need it most.
- Flexible Schedule: Choose shifts that work best for you, and volunteer as much as you'd like.
- Training Provided: Get all the training you need to be a great Blood Drive Volunteer!
- Meet New People: Join a community of like-minded volunteers and make a real impact!

Description
Vitalant ("Vye-TAL-ent") is the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit blood services provider exclusively focused on providing lifesaving blood and comprehensive transfusion medicine services for about 900 hospitals and their patients across the U.S. Every day, Vitalant needs to collect about 5,300 blood, platelet and plasma donations to help save lives.
