Come join the Parks crew as we mulch Pullen Park. Mulching landscape beds does not only enhance the look of the park, it also helps with controlling weeds and helps with water retention.

Duties:

Volunteers will use wheelbarrows, pitchforks, hard rakes, and other tools as needed to help spread mulch in landscaped beds.

Work Environment:

We will be working outside in the elements, so dress accordingly. There is the possibility of uneven ground. There is a restroom on site.

Requirements:

• Age: 14 . Those under 16 must have a parent/guardian present
• Up-to-date release form. *Those under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature*

Other Instructions:

• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
• Wear close-toed shoes such as sneakers or hiking boots
• Bring your own filled water bottle
• Additional details about parking and trash disposal will be emailed to all registered volunteers

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
