We're currently seeking 20 responsible adults for a rewarding opportunity to get hands on dog behavior and shelter dog training and enrichment!
Be a vital part of our team as you work directly training shelter dogs over a course of 3 weeks in February.
Program begins February 10 and runs Mon - Wed, 8:30AM - 11:30AM
There will be an additional week day and graduation ceremony scheduled that is TBD.
The ideal volunteer should:
- Be inspired by the opportunity to help shelter dogs
- Be able to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Be on your feet and active for roughly 3 hours a day
- Be available a minimum 3 days a week
- Clear a criminal background check
MISSION
K9 Youth Alliance is a local nonprofit that enriches the lives of shelter dogs and empowers youth through the human-animal bond. For this program, our focus is on training our adult volunteers and equipping even more shleter dogs with important skills and helping them find forever families.
