About Dunebrook

Location:

7451 W. Johnson Rd., Michigan City, IN 46360, US

Mission Statement

To advocate for children and provide positive family support and education. Our vision is: Every child, Safe, Healthy, Happy.

Description

Dunebrook’s mission is to help parents build healthier, happier families.

We have a fully trained staff that provides guidance, encouragement and education in the home in our Healthy Families program. Parents learn how to build confidence and competence as they are assisted with basic family needs, learn positive interactions with their child, gaining better understanding of what to expect in their child’s growth and development and life coping skills.

We also educate and empower children and teens to keep their bodies safe through our Public Education program. Parents and other adults are taught how to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to suspicions of child sexual abuse through this program as well.

In addition to our positive prevention focus, we also offer intervention assistance in child abuse investigations. Interviews are conducted on site in a comfortable, child and family friendly environment.

Our programs are free and totally confidential.

Since Dunebrook's founding in 1989, we have helped thousands of children, parents and families strengthen their relationships with one another, and strive to continue helping many more.
