ORGANIZATION: U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management

We are looking for friendly, customer-service focused hosts for our beautiful Clark's Bay Day Use Area, located on picturesque Hauser Lake, about 16 miles from Helena, MT. Clark's Bay is an expanded amenity day-use site that includes a large beach, a group shelter, and several small shade structures and picnic areas. The site is open from May 1 to October 12, annually. Our busy season runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The site is usually full during our busy season. We use Recreation.gov to manage reservations for the group use ramada


What you need to know:

  • We ask that you commit to being with us from the beginning of May through the end of September.
  • You will work about four days per week.
  • The number of hours worked daily varies, but averages about 4 hours.
  • Your schedule would require that you work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • You must complete and pass a Federal Background Investigation with fingerprints.
  • You would serve as a friendly, professional, reliable, fair, and knowledgeable representative of the BLM and our campground.

The BLM will reimburse each volunteer $30 for each full day duty shift worked.
