Event Volunteer: This opportunity is for volunteers who want to work a live Be The Match recruitment event to add committed and available blood stem cell donors to the registry. Various roles are available at these events and the volunteer will need to be able to travel to the event. Volunteers will have the opportunity to make a direct impact by increasing registry numbers to support patients with a wide variety of blood cancers and blood disorders.
Ambassador: This is for volunteers who want to take their volunteering to the next level! To be an ambassador, a volunteer must commit to ongoing volunteer opportunities and complete Ambassador Training (bit.ly/3GbuwPL). Ambassadors are those who are self-sufficient and have the potential to lead their registration events with limited/moderate support from the Be The Match staff.
Be The Match On Campus Chapters: This opportunity is for student organizations on campuses that help to carry our our mission of recruiting new members to the registry and fundraising for patient support. New members are always welcome to join on campuses with existing chapters. Campuses without and existing chapter, Be The Match staff will support student volunteers in creating a new chapter on their campus.

Mission Statement
For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past 25 years Be The Match, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program, (NMDP), has managed the most diverse marrow registry in the world. We work every day to save lives through transplant.
Description
Curing blood cancers one patient at a time
For patients diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening diseases, a bone marrow or cord blood transplant may be their only hope for a cure. For the 70% of patients who do not have a match within their family, they depend on Be The Match and our supporters to find a match to save their life. We also provide one-on-one support to patients and their families throughout the transplant journey.
What we do to save more lives:
Growing Be The Match Registry to find a match for all patients
Connecting patients with life-saving bone marrow donors
Supporting patients, caregivers and families
Conducting research that is saving lives today
