Help bring cheer and smiles to older Minnesotans with your friendly voice and listening ear. Be a Monday Morning Coffee Talker!
Coffee Talk is a drop-in chat line that connects socially isolated older adults in the state with caring volunteers like you for friendly conversation.
With words of encouragement and a listening ear, you will provide callers with friendly conversation, information about community resources, and opportunities to connect them with other Friends & Co services. Callers can remain anonymous, and there is no need to register or make an appointment. Volunteers answer calls Monday through Friday from 8 am to noon. Will you be there to answer when someone calls to chat?
Volunteers must be 18+, complete a volunteer application, and pass a background check. We are looking for help on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. - Noon. This is a virtual volunteer opportunity with training and staff support provided.
*Currently, all volunteers must reside in the state of Minnesota.
