Help bring cheer and smiles to older Minnesotans with your friendly voice. Be a Wednesday Morning Coffee Talker!
Coffee Talk is a drop-in chat line that connects socially isolated older adults with caring volunteers like you for friendly conversation.
With words of encouragement and a listening ear, you will provide callers with friendly conversation, information about community resources, and opportunities to connect them with other Friends & Co services. Callers can remain anonymous, and there is no need to register or make an appointment. Volunteers answer calls Monday through Friday from 8 am to noon. Will you be there to answer when someone calls to chat?
Volunteers must be 18+, complete a volunteer application, and pass a background check. We are looking for help on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. - Noon. This is a virtual volunteer opportunity with training and staff support provided.
*Currently, we ask that all volunteers live in the Midwest in the CST time zone.
*University students needing volunteer hours for class are welcome to apply too.

Friends & Co, formerly Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly, MN, has served older adults in Minnesota for over 50 years. We foster meaningful connections for older adults. Maybe you’re an older adult or know someone that is? We offer a quick drop-in chat line, phone companionship, and visiting companionship services, something for everyone and all of no-cost to the participant.
