FCCGW's Peer-to-Peer is a helper-buddy mentoring matching program designed to provide social and emotional learning opportunities to participants, equipping them with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to achieve healthy and successful futures.
The Buddy (1st to 9th grade) is a student who receives assistance for academic and social improvement from a helper.
A Helper (9th to 12th grade) is a qualified high school student who has excelled academically and is fully satisfied with the P2P helper requirements.

Our motto is, "Healthy Individual, Happy Family, & Harmonious Community." It has been at the core of our very being. It is the reason we provide counseling services for individuals, couples and families, parents and children, and children and youth. We are a Virginia Certified Parenting Education Class Provider and we also provide counseling services in the privacy of client's home. For low-income seniors, we provide senior programs that support socialization for persons who are often linguistically isolated.

Description

The Family Counseling Center of Greater Washington (FCCGW) is a counseling and mental health services center located in Vienna, Virginia, providing a full range of counseling and mental health services to adults and children living in and around Fairfax County. FCCGW is the only non-profit organization in the area that is primarily devoted to Professional Counseling and Mental Health Services with a focus on Korean/Asian Americans.
