Looking for College and University Students to Join Our Team to Advance Our Mission to #StopGBV #GenderEquality:

-What is GBV?

"Gender-based Violence" describes the many forms of gender-based misconduct that occur in different contexts, including negative behaviors directed at an individual based on their gender, gender expression, or sex as well as behaviors that are sexual in nature.

-It's Inclusive.

This definition is intentionally inclusive - women, men, gender fluid, transgender, disabled, health-challenged, marginalized - all are included. The definition covers a wide range of misconduct: verbal and physical actions, sexual harassment, sexual assault, rape and other forms of abusive behavior.

-Did You Know?

Gender-based Violence in the U.S. affects 1 out of 3 women in their lifetime.

About Center of Public Safety for Women (CPSW)

Mission Statement

The #StandUpToGBV Program of the Center of Public Safety for Women (CPSW) is a partnership between the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization eGirl Power and the Center for Public Safety (CPS) to combat GBV with a focus on Campus Safety for students enrolled in colleges and universities.

Description

The #StandUpToGBV program is a movement that is providing JUSTICE and a Voice to EMPOWER College Survivors that have been wronged by the failures of Title IX and Title VI from Colleges and Universities!

In addition, #StandUpToGBV will allow the "Paying Customer (aka Students)" to hold their Colleges and the OCR accountable for NOT bringing proper justice to those perpetrators and assailants who have violated their basic human rights (by afflicting GBV on them)!

The Toxic Culture on most U.S. College Campuses and the Incompetence and Constant Mishandling of cases at the OCR may NEVER be fully resolved, however, the efforts of the #StandUpToGBV movement will assist to:

1. EDUCATE: Victims and Survivors to better understand "What is GBV?" and "How to Prevent and Mitigate GBV on College Campuses."

2. EMPOWER: Students to Report and Uncover GBV Crimes that are "Swept Under the Rug" by Colleges and the OCR.

3. ELEVATE: The VOICES of all those students who have been victims of GBV and bring the perpetrators and assailants to "REAL" JUSTICE!
