NOTE: WE are launching a new charity that will be our American-based charity, called Compass Rose International. The Gala will support both Global Orphan Prevention and Compass Rose International.



Purpose of Gala:

To increase awareness and stewardship amongst the Colorado community about our causes and to help them have a more profound understanding of how these issues are connected within our own country.

Additionally, to encourage new and ongoing support from donors, partners, and friends of the charity through

  • Highlighting the organization’s programs
  • Demonstrating the impact of our work
  • Submerging the audience through an experiential event, where guests will activate their sensory channels, creating an emotional connection to the Cause
  • By creating memorable experiences that give back or add value to their lives, the guests will feel drawn toward the mission


About the Charities:

The NorthStar 2 Freedom Gala will provide essential funding for

  • Global Orphan Prevention - to end orphan and child sex trafficking through education, leadership, and economic development.
  • Compass Rose International - our curriculum inspires young women to connect to their most significant potential, dreams, and passions as purpose-driven leaders. We offer scholarships & internship opportunities.


Length of Commitment:

  • Feb 22nd, 2023 - Sept 30th, 2023
  • FIRST MEETING is Feb 22nd (you must be able to attend this)
  • Committee meetings once per month through June 2023
  • Twice per month from July - late September 2023
  • Can be held virtually, but a minimum of 3 meetings must be in person
  • Committee Members must commit to actively participating for the full 6-month planning term


Program & Experience Committee:

  • Prepare the event program with a volunteer committee
  • Determine event production, venue, catering, and vendor communications
  • Registration and coat check
  • VIP invitations, cultivation, and care
  • Event Entertainment & theme
  • Day of Volunteers Committee
  • Determine decorations and lead a volunteer team to execute


Auction Committee:

  • Secure silent and live auction items to be auctioned at the gala
  • Organize and manage bid sheets, display, payment, and distribution of auction items
  • Hire an auctioneer for the live auction
  • Write and send thank-you notes to all auction donors after the event.


Marketing & Communications Committee:

  • Prepare and execute the marketing and communications plan with a volunteer committee
  • Meetings once monthly


Sponsorship & Ticket Sales Committee:

  • Solicit and secure a presenting and supporting sponsor
  • Generate a minimum of 5 cash sponsors for the Gala
  • Support the ticket sales committee with table sponsorships
  • Sell and oversee ticket and table sales strategy, process, and promotions (in partnership with marketing)
  • Meetings once monthly
