Requirements:
* Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, Psychologist, School Counselor or Grief Specialist
* Enjoy working with kids
* Prior grief and group work experience
* Prior experience working with children and teens
Support Group Leader will be responsible for:
* 6 - 10 campers of a specific age group
* running four different support group activities focusing on 4 specific topics
* the emotional and physical well-being of your campers and volunteers
* overseeing volunteers assigned to your group
* attending nightly group supervision with other Support Group Leaders
* following a schedule while also remaining flexible to change

Introducing Camp Good Mourning!, a Huntington, NY-based 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides FREE weekend grief camp programs for Long Island children coping with the death of a parent or sibling.
Camp Good Mourning! takes place in a traditional camp setting with one extra special component - Grief Support Groups. Each support group focuses on a different theme including, but not limited to, sharing one’s grief story, identifying and exploring feelings, identifying healthy as well as unhealthy coping skills, and learning ways to stay connected to loved ones even though they are no longer physically with them.
Camp Good Mourning! takes place at Camp Quinipet on Shelter Island on Long Island, NY.

- Support Group Leaders must be available for 2-day training -- Sat April 22nd at SYJCC in Commack and Sun, April 23rd at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck in Center Moriches. View a recording training may be an option. Hours are 830a - 5p. Other meetings as needed.
