Miles for Migraine is building a Planning Development Committee to help bring awareness, increase attendance and funding at our Arizona Run/Walk/Relax Event on March 11th, 2023.
We are looking to build a committee of 7 people or more that will work together to increase team participation at our Arizona Event. This committee will also reach out to the local community and raise awareness about our event as well as help increase our fundraising dollars that go directly to Mayo Clinic Arizona, Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's Hospital and Lewis Headache Center at Barrow Neurological Institute.
This committee will be overseen by the Miles for Migraine National Director of Development as well as the Volunteer Director. This committee will have an Event Chair, someone in charge of Team Recruitment as well as someone in charge of growing our Sponsorships. This group will be our "boots on the ground", as you are the ones that live locally in the Phoenix area.
We hope you will join us! Volunteering with Miles for Migraine should be a part of your "Migraine Toolbox"!

Mission Statement
Miles for Migraine is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission of improving the lives of people with migraine and other headache disorders, and their families, by raising public awareness about this disease, and helping to find a cure. Miles for Migraine produces fun walk/run events, typically a 2-mile walk and 5K races to raise money for migraine research. We also host adult education days, and a youth program for kids and teens impacted by migraine and other headache disorders.
Description
Our vision is to create some "big noise" in the migraine community and raise awareness that migraine and headache disorders are more than "a headache". We are making great strides by growing our signature event, the Miles for Migraine 2-mile walk, 5K/10K run, and by expanding our newer programs, such as a day camp for use kids and teens who have chronic migraine, and our adult seminar series.
