The Food Pantry serves as a food donation stocked store where residents can create their own food box at no cost. As a Food Pantry Appointment Volunteer, you will assist staff in running Pathlight HOME's Maxwell Terrace Food Pantry. Running the Food Pantry includes restocking food items, helping residents through the Food Pantry, and checking the resident's items out after their appointments.
The Food Pantry is open to residents typically the second Friday, third Monday, and third Thursday of each month and this volunteer opportunity will work directly with the residents. This volunteer opportunity can occur once a month during the Food Pantry visits or three times a month for the of the Food Pantry visits.

Description
Pathlight HOME changes the lives of homeless and low-income Floridians by providing affordable housing and economic opportunities. We are a non-profit organization providing over 600 formerly homeless individuals with permanent, supportive housing in Central Florida. Originally incorporated as Grand Avenue Economic Development Corp., we have helped more than 5,000 of our homeless neighbors through our "housing first" philosophy.
Pathlight HOME also operates two social enterprises, Pathlight Kitchen and Sobik’s Café. These enterprises create an opportunity for low-income community members to learn culinary skill sets, enabling them to overcome barriers to employment and earn higher wages.
