Our board secretary will be a key officer who is an active conduit for communication between all board members. It is very critical that this individual comes highly organized, detailed, accurate, and be an effective advisor. The Board Secretary is responsible for ensuring that accurate and sufficient documentation exists to meet legal requirements, proactively collaborate with board members to set up meetings, give proper notice of any meetings, record minutes of meetings, promptly distributing materials like agendas and minutes. As the Board Secretary, you are also responsible for our governance documents accuracy, and availability, and will be signing authority for various forms. Because we are a startup nonprofit, you may have to juggle more than one role, which means, at times you may need to propose policies and practices, submits various reports to the board, and fulfill any other requirements of a Director and Officer, and performs other duties as the need arises and/or as defined in the bylaws.

Description

Prince serves as a nonprofit dedicated to helping middle school and high school aged youth overcome their adverse childhood experiences. We offer opportunities for children to build community with their peers, develop a sense of belonging within their community, rebuild family relationships, offer a positive environment where youth can learn to heal, and help them help others cope. Prince was born in honor of Princeton Morris, who always tried to bring light to his community despite the adversities faced.
