Volunteer Facilities Coordinator
EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 54,000 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Volunteer Facilities Coordinator for its Administrative Office.
The Volunteer Facilities Coordinator is a remote volunteer position with some travel to office locations in the New York City and long Island region. Hours are flexible and the role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Primary Purpose of Role:
The Volunteer Facilities Coordinator helps to maintain a safe, secure, and well-functioning work environment at our 35 locations on Long Island and NYC. The volunteer will work remotely to coordinate all activities for repairs when needed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between Division Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Facilities personnel.
- Work with site supervisors to diagnose issues.
- Research potential vendors; solicit competitive bids if necessary.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs at various EAC locations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Must be able to make phone calls.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions and think critically.
- Ability to travel to EAC locations to inspect or review issues, if necessary.
