Mentor young coders with Bold Idea in ideaSpark Coding Clubs. Sign up for a once weekly coding club that takes place online or hybrid with the student’s school or community center. Be a technology role model and mentor to students who are excited to learn about coding and technology. Students learn 21st century skills while building relationships with mentors who show them how their new skills can help them pursue future careers. Students work on projects in Scratch, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.

Spring Semester: September 9th, 2023 - December 16th , 2023

Mentor Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Computer with Wi-Fi Access (no tablets), Camera, and Microphone

  • Complete and pass a background check annually ($19)

  • Attend mentor training before start of camps (2 hours virtual)

  • A passion for computer science education and patience for the learning process

  • NO previous coding experience is required
