Get together with your family, coworkers or friends to assemble Healthy Snack Packs for kids at our East Metro Place facility!
How it works volunteers purchase in bulk 3-4 non-perishable snack items and place them in brown paper lunch bags. As an added bonus, bags can even be decorated with a fun drawing or positive message to the student. Common items to include are Goldfish, popcorn, pretzels, applesauce, fruit snacks, granola bars, juice box, water, etc.
Snack Packs are really popular for kids as they come home from school, and for many it’s a good treat to have until they eat dinner at home. This project is not time sensitive and can be completed on the group's schedule.

Solid Ground is an award winning nonprofit organization whose proven, holistic approach helps families build the strong foundations they need to emerge from homelessness into a brighter future. Through safe, affordable transitional and permanent supportive housing and innovative supportive programming, Solid Ground helps families transition to a higher-level of self-sufficiency and break the cycle of homelessness and poverty for the next generation. Solid Ground currently runs eight programs in suburban Ramsey and Washington Counties housing nearly 700 women, men and children annually.
