Recruiting Organization: Autism Community Alliance

Autism Community Alliance is a 501(c)(3) that welcomes all neurodivergent , 18+ young adults interested in learning more about our vocational, recreational and social programming that fosters connections with families and communities in the Washington DC metro area. We have partnered with Abiding Presence Lutheran Church in Burke, VA who has donated classroom and common area spaces for our programming.

We are excited to launch our 4-hour drop off care in the Winter of 2023 from 12:45-4:45 pm on select Saturdays. Volunteers and board members will provide the care and offer a range of recreational activities. A $60 fee will be collected at time of service.

In the Spring/Summer of 2023, we plan to offer day programming for young adults from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm Tuesday-Friday. Participants can opt for 2 days a week for $300 monthly or 4 days a week for $600. Participants will be required to bring a 1:1 caregiver. A range of recreational, social and vocational activities will be offered at the church and out in the community.

After an online application is completed, we will schedule a virtual interview to conduct an assessment. All participants and supportive staff will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID per CDC guidance.
