Purpose of the Role: The Programs Director works to create a diverse, engaging programming schedule that provides great value to the recipients of our programs, corporate sponsors, and members , including providing opportunities to spotlight our speakers at scheduled events .

General Description:
This Director creates the annual schedule of events and guests in alignment with the goals of the organization . Assists President in the development of program s and community events that align with FITNP's mission, vision, and strategic plan.

Specific Activities this Role is Responsible For:

1. Planning. O versees the strategic planning of community events and identify critical resources needed for each event ( i.e., volunteer events, community health fairs, annual award reception, veteran-related conferences, and speaking engagements for the FITNP Board of Directors). Partners with Marketing Director to ensure timely and accurate promotion of upcoming calendar events.

2. Recruiting: The Programs Directo r actively recruits committee volunteers for every committee in order to have sufficient help to effectively execute the Programs Annual Calendar. The Programs Director may solicit donations for FITNP programs from current sponsors and/or donors as well as recruit new potential corporate sponsors for events.

3. Leadership: Assists President in development of annual calendar of meetings and special events including, but not limited to: Membership Meeting , Sponsor/Membership Banquet, VetChat Support meetings , Trade Show/Conference and other Educational events.

4. Reporting. The Director will work with the Board of Directors to review all the activity reports submitted at Board Mee tings.

Technology requirements:

Utilizing Cloud Based Document Sharing platform: Seek out and collect key documents for inclusion in the repository.

General Requirements:

• Attend C ommittee meetings as needed to ensure programs can be executed timely and efficiently.
• As her/his schedule permits, the Director should attend all meetings and FITNP
  sponsored events:
  o Minimum of four (4) VetChat Support events
  o Minimum of five (5) FITNP sponsored events with SAMMinistries, Haven for Hope, or a battered women/children shelter
  o Minimum of four (4) community event/fair /conference in which FITNP is a
  registered vendor
  o Other special meetings or events
• Attend the Annual Board retreat
• Join FITNP social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter)
• Join all FITNP social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter)
