Help seniors receive needed tax refunds.

Volunteer to be a greeter for the ESOP VITA Tax Season: typically running February-mid April
* 9am-2pm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays as arranged with program staff and volunteer
availability

Greeter Duties:
* Work with ESOP and Benjamin Rose staff to schedule days to be responsible to help greet and assist
with tax preparation at the tax site;
* Welcome and orient the tax filers to the tax site;
* Provide taxpayers with an intake folder and intake sheet;
* Ensure taxpayers have the necessary information and documents required by the IRS;
* Direct taxpayers to the appropriate waiting area and explain process;
* Assist in making copies of proper ID’s, forms, documents, etc.

Ideal volunteer will have:
* Strong interpersonal skills;
* Able to maintain personal boundaries with clients;
* Able to relate to older adults of different ethnic and income groups, and varying capabilities;
* Intermediate computer skills;
* Able to maintain confidentiality of Benjamin Rose participants and volunteers;
* Full Covid-19 vaccination required or exemption approved prior to start.

Volunteers do not need experience with taxes to volunteer.
