Description:

Our food pantry is the largest in Marin and we serve over 350 families and individuals a week. Our clients receive quality staples plus bountiful fresh and nutritious produce, they don't have to choose between paying the rent and putting food on the table.

If you sign up to volunteer at the food pantry, you'll be working to stock shelves, greet and sign-in clients, and hand out bags of groceries based on what the client prefers (and what we have in stock). We get about 7000 lbs of food from the food bank every week, so this volunteer position is essential to our continued operation and works directly with the community we serve. Thank you for getting involved in this important work!

Monday through Friday: 8am-4:30pm

Task: Sign-in clients as they arrive, help stock & organize the food pantry, and prepare grocery bags. We are open 5 days a week and need as much volunteer help as we can get!

Required: Volunteers must be 18 years old (unless parent or gaurdian has signed off) and able to lift 10 lbs to 15 lbs. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Annie Everett, to learn about exceptions: aeverett@rittercenter.org or (415)-940-9999

Provided: N95 mask, gloves, hand sanitizer.

Our schedule for essential services is flexible; shifts are available from 8am-5pm on Monday through Friday and can last from 1 hour long to all day. If you would like to see our calendar of shifts or sign up, please click HERE.
