As a Disaster Action Team volunteer, you can be a source of refuge and support when it’s needed most. From home fires to storms, unexpected emergencies happen every day, but you can help by getting trained as a Red Cross volunteer

Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers sign up for on-call shifts to help provide 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, ensuring that those affected have access to resources for necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Preferred Commitment: Four 12-hour on-call shifts Per Month w/ a Commitment of 6 Months or Eight 6-hour on-call shifts Per Month w/ a Commitment of 6 Months.
  • Willingness to travel anywhere in Henrico County or Richmond City. Day Shift: 6am - 12pm and/or 12pm - 6pm. Lat Night Shift 12am - 6am.
