WONT YOU COME HELP US FREE THE TREES?

Did you know that English Ivy is an invasive vine that crowds out many native plants and threatens a biologically diverse ecosystem? Like Kudzu, it can wrap itself along trees, shrubs, and crawl on the ground pulling vital nutrients that the local flora need to flourish. You can help our locals thrive and maintain a sustainable landscape into our future! Come help us pull this menacing vines off the trees and from the surrounding grounds. Help us preserve what is truly part of our beautiful Piedmont region; where the oaks and the hickory trees blow in the wind.

Please wear protective clothing: long pants, long sleeves, closed toe shoes.

Please bring: garden gloves and hand pruners, or anything to cut ivy. If you do not have these, we do have a limited supply of pruners and a lot of gloves!

This event is from 09:30 - 12:00 - 4 hours volunteer time is recorded. (We consider your travel)
Because this is an outdoor event, masks are optional.
