LFTI is hosting a Community Day Loaded Bookbag a back to school event on August 11, 2024. We are looking for volunteers who are barbers, hair stylists, security, activities monitor, event staff. We need dedicated individuals who are willing to donate their time and expertise on the day of the event. Your skills and generosity will help ensure that mothers and their children feel confident and prepared as they embark on a new school year. By participating in our Community Day Event, you will not only be making a positive impact on the lives of others but also be part of a larger movement towards creating a more inclusive and supportive community. Mission Statement

To obliterate recidivism one woman at a time by providing female offenders with the relevant resources to gain or further their education, acquire jobs, rehabilitate from drug and alcohol abuse, reconcile with their families, and get the social-economic stability necessary to help them successfully re-enter society.

Description

LFTI is designed to be a Minority/Women ran Female Residential Reentry Center (RRC). We will at any given time house the minimum of 25 women however we will have to the capacity to house up to 50 reentry eligible women. We will offer an array of programs including Literacy, Culinary, GED, Job readiness, and training when applicable. Our goal is to reunite families and communities with women who are ready to change their lives after being incarcerated and will help us Obliterate Recidivism one Woman at a time.
