ORGANIZATION: EAGLES EMPOWERED TO SOAR -EETS

As a volunteer with EEtS, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the organization and help to grow the Textile Program. You will have the opportunity to work with our team of staff and volunteers to provide support in program planning and implementation, as well as in the development of community partnerships. Additionally, you will have the chance to help promote EEtS and its mission to the public.

Examples of volunteer roles with EEtS include:
* Participating in the organization’s Orange 3-6-5 community events
* Developing marketing materials and social media campaigns
* Assisting with the expansion of the Textile Program
* Participating in community outreach efforts
* Connecting with partners and sponsors
* Supporting fundraising and event planning
* Contributing to the organization's overall growth and development.

In addition to the satisfaction of helping to build a cause-driven organization, volunteers will also gain a sense of community, as well as valuable experience they can apply to their own career development.

Our mission is to create a safe and positive environment where marginalized people can find the tools they need to soar and gain access to resources. We also strive to create a safe and supportive space where people can heal from past trauma and learn skills to further their safety and wellbeing. We believe in empowering individuals to break the cycle of violence and create a more equitable society. We seek to create a society where everyone can reach their full potential and live with dignity, regardless of gender, disability, or social status.

Description

Eagles Empowered to Soar, INC. (EEtS) is a 509(a) public charity that was founded in 2017 in response to the growing need for programs and services that empower people living in poverty and exclusion. Despite its formation in 2017, operations did not begin until 2019. We provide a diverse range of programs through our pillars of service, community development and social change. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of the people we serve and to help them overcome the barriers they face in their everyday lives.

Since our operation in 2019, we have served over 10,500 participants through our various programs. Our programs have helped participants gain the skills and knowledge they need to access government benefits, start and grow their businesses, and become self-sufficient. We have also provided participants with the opportunity to give back to their communities through our community service programs.

We raise awareness of gender-based violence through the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence annually. We also have an annual toy drive for children from vulnerable households. This birthed ORANGE 3-6-5, a campaign to raise awareness around gender-based violence 365 days of the year.
