Get outside and make a difference this winter by joining naturalist Faye Stoner for a hike and stewardship workday at the prairie at Independence Lake County Park. We’ll be removing invasive shrubs and vines, both to improve habitat for wildlife and to open more expansive views of the prairie for park visitors to enjoy. No experience necessary; we will provide tools and gloves.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared to get off trail on uneven ground. Meet neighbors and fellow nature enthusiasts, enjoy brisk exercise and behind-the-scenes exploration, and make a real difference in a beautiful Washtenaw County park.

Please ALSO register for this opportunity by visiting: https://tinyurl.com/3utj9t6t

Registering through Volunteer Washtenaw only notifies our volunteer coordinator of your interest, who will then contact you.
