Senior Friendship Centers is looking for volunteer entertainers of all types to provide enjoyment to seniors in our Adult Day Services program. We provide care to seniors with cognitive or physical limitations including engaging activities throughout the day. We are looking for talented and caring volunteers who like to sing, play music, dance, put on a skit, or even juggle! Whatever your talent, if you are interested in bringing joy to small groups of up to 25 seniors, we would be thrilled to hear from you.

We have Adult Day Services in two locations:

• Sarasota - 1820 Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota FL 34236
• Venice - 2350 Scenic Drive, Venice FL 34293

Schedule:

• We have openings for entertainers every day, Mon - Fri, from 1:00 - 2:00pm. You can volunteer regularly or just one time.

Requirements:

• Able to provide an engaging performance in a small space, bringing own equipment and supplies.
• Comfortable interacting with individuals with neurocognitive impairments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with seniors.
• Ability to interact professionally with all staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners.
• Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity for all individuals and groups.
