Senior Friendship Centers is looking for volunteer musicians, duets, or small bands to perform in our Adult Day Care. We offer a licensed day program featuring supervised, engaging activities for seniors with cognitive or medical issues. It’s an inviting place for seniors to socialize with others, sharpen cognitive skills, reduce frustration, enjoy healthy meals, and feel valued. Bring fun and joy to this group of seniors by sharing your musical talents.

Schedule:

• We welcome musicians on a one-time, monthly, or weekly basis. The Adult Day Care is open Mon-Fri.

Requirements:

• Must love seniors and want to socialize with them. Positive, happy demeanor.
• Always use safety precautions when assisting clients to maintain the safety of the clients and staff.
• Comfortable interacting with individuals with cognitive issues.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with seniors.
• Ability to interact professionally with all staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners.
• Friendly, flexible, able to handle challenges, and able to work with limited supervision.
• Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity for all individuals and groups.
• We have a piano and bongo drums on-site; must be able to bring other instruments.
