YMCA of the East Bay is looking for adult advisors to help teach and lead 6th, 7th & 8th graders in the Model United Nations program. Curriculum is provided.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS (GRADES 6th-8th) gives middle school students the opportunity to discuss international issues, discover other cultures, and develop life-enhancing skills. The 4-month program culminates when delegates from around the state convene for the Model United Nations Summit. There, delegates represent assigned countries as ambassadors and work to solve global issues with the skills they have acquired.

The hands-on programs of California YMCA Youth & Government provide positive opportunities and experiences for youth. Participants strengthen their communities by becoming civically engaged, active and responsible contributors who are inspired and empowered to lead and create meaningful change.
