Enhabit Hospice in Pell City is needing volunteers for companionship and socialism for our patients. We are looking for office support for things like mailing letters and cards to patients. Patients are always needing assistance and companionship if you are able to visit. We greatly appreciate any volunteers willing to help!
Volunteers Needed
11 th Hour Volunteers
Provide support on and on-call basis to patients that reside in extended care facilities and are actively dying.
Tuck-In Volunteer
Call patients and caregivers making sure they are prepared for the weekend.
Veteran Volunteers
Provide companionship to fellow veterans in our care.
Hair Stylist & Barbers
Provide haircuts to patients unable to leave their home.
Pet Visitation
Pets must be licensed by a reputable organization to provide support services to patients.
Office Volunteer
Provide clerical assistance for a variety of activities.
Bereavement Volunteers
Provide emotional support through telephone contacts/notes with grieving families during the 13 month period following the death of their loved ones.

Description
At Enhabit Hospice we foster a culture of compassion and collaboration encouraging and empowering each employee and volunteer to keep learning and growing together. Our compassionate end-of-life care is provided in the patient’s home, whether that is a home address, nursing home, assisted living community, independent living community or other location. It focuses on the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of both the individual patient and our patients’ loved ones: caregivers, spouses, children, extended family and friends.
Our experienced team understands the complexity of issues and feelings that surround hospice care and end of life. Our care process is designed to maximize our patient’s quality of life and offer our patients and their love ones comfort, support and guidance when facing a terminal illness
Our Goal is to provide a sense of dignity and peace for our patients, while controlling pain, minimizing discomfort and managing symptoms. We also prioritize emotional and spiritual needs, guiding our patients and their loved one through the end-of-life process.
