Do you care about wildlife? Then this course is for you (PLEASE ALL of this before responding)
2023 WILDLIFE GOODWILL AMBASSADOR TRAINING & CERTIFICATION
This free four (4) session course via Zoom covers: Where to get species-specific information to resolve wildlife issues; how to prevent "nuisance" wildlife & their babies from being harmed or killed; when wildlife might need & might NOT need human intervention & what people should do & should NOT do prior to getting injured or orphaned wildlife help.
This is NOT hands-on training with wildlife. WGAs (Wildlife Goodwill Ambassadors) do NOT rehabilitate wildlife. ONLY licensed wildlife rehabilitators rehabilitate wildlife.
This course fills a vital need-educating people about numerous resources for nonlethal, humane alternatives to killing, trapping and relocating "nuisance" wildlife. And, that raising baby wildlife themselves is not in the best interest of the animal nor is it legal to do so.
Information presented in the WGA Program is from: The Humane Society of the United States' WildNeighbors.org website, urban wildlife biology research studies, licensed wildlife rehabilitators and other experts involved with evidence-based humane resolutions.
All seriously interested people (16 years & older) are invited! Email:animaltalk@optonline.netA. T elling about yourself. B. Why you want to become a Wildlife Goodwill Ambassador. 3. Which class group you wish to attend: Sundays or Wednesdays.
To become a certified WGA: Attend all 4 Zoom classes, Read all assignments, Complete & hand-in the take-home/open book quizzes plus join the private Facebook page "WILDLIFE GOODWILL AMBASSADORS CAFÉ". Certificates are awarded upon completion. There is no charge for this training. Space is limited so please apply A.S.A.P.
Sunday Classes will meet 7-8pm EST via Zoom on February 5, February 19, March 5 & March 19. Wednesday Classes will meet 7-8pm EST via Zoom February 9, February 22, March 8 & March 22

Mission Statement
The Volunteer Bird Transport Brigade (VBTB) mission is to help transport injured or orphaned wild birds to licensed NJ wild avian (bird) rehabilitators for the Associated Humane Societies animal shelters. Transports are made as needed & volunteers sign up to be on-call & committed for specific days to transport. Spring thru Fall are especially busy times. We are avian ambulance drivers. We pick up the contained birds & drive them directly to the rehabilitation center, usually The Raptor Trust in Millington NJ. We do not have the radio on while driving the birds nor pause for selfies nor to show the stressed bird to anyone. VBTB is the lifeline to recovery for these birds!
