ORGANIZATION: Adelante Development Center

Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis for the Benefits Connection Center. As a volunteer at Adelante’s Benefits Connection Center, you can help seniors and people with disabilities find out what benefits they are eligible to receive. Working in the Center. To volunteer, you must be able to answer calls pleasantly, following a basic script, and perform administrative tasks like keyboarding, printing, and faxing. Training will be provided. You must be able to speak clearly and hear well on the phone. Doing outreach. Several individuals are needed to help with outreach. This important volunteer role would help educate seniors and people with disabilities about the Benefits Connection Center and what it can do to help them apply for benefits for which they may qualify. Since then, Adelante has taken the opportunity to expand services as needs have arisen.
