Join us on MLK Day for an interactive session on: Taking Action on Climate Through a Meaningful Conversation, 10:30am-11:15am

Do you feel overwhelmed by the news about climate change? Do you talk to your friends or family about how you feel about climate change? We’ll help you frame the discussion to start or continue conversations and provide ways to use your emotions as a motivator for action. Our goal is to give every participant actionable information that they can incorporate into their lives right now to help address climate change.

Teens and adults are welcome. Lunch provided and there will be other meaningful hands-on Service Projects to engage with.

Phyllis devotes most of her time to advocating for reducing the effects of the climate crisis. She is active in many environmental organizations that are working at the local, state, and national levels, including founding member of Climate Action Lower Merion (CALM), a board member for PA Interfaith Power and Light, PA lead organizer for the Jewish Earth Alliance. She is happy to educate others and help them learn to advocate through letter writing and presentations. Phyllis is trained by the Union of Concerned Scientists to train others on countering mis/disinformation and she will be using this material in this session.
