10am-1pm Addressing Gun Violence as a Community ongoing

Homelessness is a Human Rights Violation. Housing is a Human Right; 11am on Zoom.

Stephanie Sena, the founder and executive director of Breaking Bread Community Shelter (BBCS), the first shelter initiative in the Philadelphia region to house both people and their pets, will share her own compelling story that inspired her to do this work as well as information and insights about current and future hopes and challenges to ensure that all of us have access to safe, affordable housing and how we can help. Stephanie is a passionate activist who also works to increase the services available to people who are homeless and low-income, and advocate for policy changes needed to create a more just and equitable community, one in which all people have access to the resources they need to thrive. Stephanie is driven by her belief that "We have a responsibility to give back to our community and leave the world a better place than we found it."
