Mission Statement
To collect unused medical supplies from local medical facilities and distribute them to countries in need, effectively keeping waste out of Maine's landfills; to send local medical personnel on medical missions to developing countries; to educate our local community about global health issues
Description
Partners for World Health is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that collects usable medical supplies from healthcare facilities in Maine, NH & MA which are being discarded due to government regulations and ships them to countries in need. In addition, we organize medical missions to Southeast Asia and Africa for doctors, nurses, and students. We strive to send a tema of medical personnel to every country where we ship a container of medical supplies. Lastly, we are committed to educating our community members about the importance of recycling and the disparities in healthcare around the world. We offer a free lecture series on the first Tuesday of the month from Sept - June in which a medical provider shares information and photographs from a medical service trip abroad
