UX Designer - B2B SaaS

We are in need of a user experience designer for a generalized, multi-tenant, B2B SaaS portal. We are not so special that we need our own design language and custom UI components. We also see significant value to our community if we succeed in making many parts open source and easily reusable. As such, we are leaning toward the Material design language (M3) as the foundation to our design system due to MD’s completeness in documentation and how pervasive its use is. This project will need to answer design questions around multi-tenancy, organization settings, subscriptions, identity & access, user settings, audit or account activity.

We also have a bias for open standards and formats but understand that sometimes the tools that are the most productive and delightful to work with are proprietary. Opensource Penpot or Quant UX are invited but other tools available to Gnu/Linux users such as the web-based Figma - low fidelity would be perfect.

100% remote is great and we typically work asynchronously with video chat meetings as needed. Part-time, on-the-side, volunteering is expected but we could move at a full-time pace and for this initiative we need to avoid situations where the priority or rate of work is slow and progress is never realized.
