ORGANIZATION: Neighbor to Neighbor of South Carolina

Are you an active and vital adult age 55+ ? Do you have a desire to make a difference in your own community?

If the answer is YES, Neighbor to Neighbor has the perfect opportunity for you! So many seniors in our area are suffering from isolation and loneliness. Many can not drive anymore, have lost loved ones and spouses and their family and friends are far away.

Neighbor to Neighbor Senior Companion Program is working in your back yard to provide vital rides to medical and quality of life destinations, deliver food pantry boxes and provide in-home visits to alleviate loneliness and depression.

This program fits anyone's schedule as it offers great flexibility for volunteer hours, in-depth training and other perks! If you qualify, you can earn a stipend for hours served and all SCP volunteers receive mileage reimbursement and a snack per diem.

Mission Statement

Neighbor to Neighbor of South Carolina, Inc. (N2N), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, promotes independence, relieves isolation, and connects homebound adults to their community through transportation and technology. 2016 Recipient of the state-wide SCANPO Excellence Award (now Together SC). Neighbor to Neighbor dedicated to helping solve adult isolation through passionate and committed volunteers.

Description

Neighbor to Neighbor inspires in us the desire to help our fellow Neighbor who is homebound due to age, disability, and/or chronic illness in Brunswick, Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties. Neighbor to Neighbor is also committed to serving the veterans in our community.

In the spirit of unselfish love, N2N uses innovative technology and best practices in connecting adults in need with qualified and trained volunteers who provide services, such as transportation to medical appointments and other life enhancing destinations, to promote and maintain independent living.
