Front End/Sales Floor:

Greeter

• Welcome and greet customers and donors.
• Answer questions and educate customers on topics of Habitat mission, ReStore goals, pricing & discounts, and online store.

Merchandise Pick-Up

• Move sold merchandise to appropriate areas when applicable.
• Verify receipts for large carry out items.
• Assist with loading of purchases into customer vehicles.

Cashier

• Process payments of ReStore purchases.
• Encourage "round-up" and other Habitat activities as appropriate.
• Educate customers on Habitat mission and upcoming ReStore promotions or events.

Merchandise & Customer Assistance - Home Goods

• Move merchandise from back room for display on sales floor.
• Straighten and clean sales floor displays.
• Assist customers with questions on pricing and policies.
• Notify pricing team of missing merchandise tags.

Merchandise & Customer Assistance - Furniture & Appliances

• Move large merchandise from back room to sales floor.
• Arrange furniture on sales floor and create appealing displays.
• Assembly of some large furniture items ex: bed frames.
• Assist customers with questions on pricing and policies.
• Notify pricing team of missing merchandise tags.

Back End/Donation Processing Area

Donation Receiving

• Greet donors at back room unloading area.
• Inspect donated goods and verify against list of acceptable items.
• Keep loading dock area clear of obstructions.
• Move donated goods from unloading area to appropriate processing area.
• Educate donors on Habitat mission and ReStore promotions and events.

Donation Processing

• Sort donated goods into proper categories.
• Clean, measure, and inspect donated goods as needed.
• Test function of electrical and electronic goods.

Donation Pricing

• Assist with individual pricing of donated goods in one or more of the following categories:

- Furniture, Housewares, Electronics, Hardware, Art

• Maintain pricing standards and accuracy of all items to be moved to sales floor.
• Correct missing or incorrect price tags of existing items on sales floor.
• Assist with photographing items for online store.

Small Repair

• Perform basic repairs to donated goods such as: gluing, nailing, replacing knobs.

Assist with assembly of goods to be placed on sales floor.

Store Wide:

Maintenance

• Help maintain the general cleanliness of the ReStore.
• Sweep or mop sales floor and bathrooms as needed.
• Collect trash and place in appropriate dumpsters.
• Perform minor repairs throughout the ReStore.
• Assist with sorting and collection of metal for scrap & recycling program.

Special Projects & Promotions

• Assist with set up and decoration for seasonal/ special events and promotions.
• Be involved with ReStore donation and fundraising drives for example:

• ReStore ReDo event
• County-wide Donation Day
• Recycling Day
