This is an opportunity to help Motley Zoo with dogs and their needs which impact our mission in critical ways through work with our Adoptable Roadies (dogs seeking homes) as well as those dogs that we have placed in/ have loving homes that come to board with us- which helps us raise funds for the rescue animals' veterinary care.

Through your work you will not only have the opportunity to provide love, comfort and special care for dogs on site but you will learn about dog behavior, play groups and dog training too. We even have a dog training apprenticeship where we provide you FREE SCHOOL to become a dog trainer which not only helps our animals get the socialization and training they need to find/ stay in homes, but can provide you a new career with business from day one.

Our 501c3 non-profit spends on average, $15,000/ month in veterinary care so the proceeds from our MZ Woods Creek Kennels helps us fill the gaps where donations fall short. Besides the dogs that board with us, we have a variety of dogs awaiting adoption that you can work with too. So everywhere you turn, there are dogs that need you- and you'll be making an impact!

Duties include:
-Feeding/ watering/ medicating dogs (no experience needed)
-Managing small play groups (up to 5 dogs)
-Cleaning, disinfecting bowls, kennels, etc
-Laundry
-Organizing supplies/ donations
-Baths/ nail trims (as training/ experience allows)
-Walking/ training dogs (as training/ experience allows)
-Groundskeeping/ maintenance
-Mentoring volunteers (as training/ experience allows)

About MOTLEY ZOO ANIMAL RESCUE

Location:

8410 Woods Creek Rd, Monroe, WA 98272, US

Mission Statement

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is dedicated to improving the lives of animals locally, nationally and internationally; alleviating their suffering and elevating their status in society through the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in need and through the education of their community on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare, advocating the value of all animal life, in hopes to end the neglect and abuse of all animals and to end the devastating pet overpopulation through spay and neuter advocacy.

Description

Motley Zoo was founded in 2009 and has rescued and rehomed more than 4,500 animals since! More than 30% of the animals we take in are medical/ special needs and require many times the average cost of care. 'Round the clock care is provided by a network of foster homes- families just like yours who offer to care for one of our animals in their home until a forever family is found! We have a physical location in Monroe, WA where we offer services like dog boarding and training which not only help dog owners in the community, but also helps bring in much needed funds for the rescue. Motley Zoo spends on average, $15,000 per month on veterinary care- and are primarily funded by donations from individuals; people giving what they can. We also sell some great, fun animal loving apparel on our store, www.mzbehindtheseamz.com- where every item literally supports and animal in our care...and you can see which animal right in the description! In all, we're a one-of-a-kind organization that strives to empower YOU to rock rescue and save lives!
