The ASCENDtials Events Coordinator - Volunteer manages a wide array of activities, including workshops, healing sessions, camps, book clubs, yoga, and boat tours. This role prioritizes delivering exceptional service to alumni, staff, donors, members, and partners, involving proactive donor engagement and confidential issue resolution. Responsibilities encompass event planning, budget management, logistics, attendee tracking, and strategic social media outreach through platforms like Buffer.
- Managing event RSVPs, budgets, financial tracking, logistics, and follow-up.
- Assisting in resource administration, strategic planning, and constituent engagement.
- Extracting and organizing reports from the ESP/CRM database, updating records, and maintaining fiscal records. * Supporting social media campaigns, editorial calendars, content creation, and tracking engagement.
- Assisting the marketing team during live and online events. * A hybrid work arrangement, including onsite and remote work.
- Attendance at special events, sometimes after hours, with possible overtime.
- A minimum weekly commitment of 12-15 hours.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in event planning, vendor management, and budgeting.
- Experience with vendor selection, negotiation, and monitoring. * Budgeting and cost projection skills.
- Aesthetic sense for event materials and venue selection. * Supervisory and organizational skills.
- Strong computer proficiency, including databases and spreadsheets.
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and Buffer.
