Heartland Hospice seeks compassionate, friendly volunteers to assist patients and families living with terminal illness. Services the volunteer can provide families include but is not limited to:
- Visiting
- Reading
- Taking walks
- Writing letters
- Bringing in music
- Respite for caregivers
- Errands
- Office work
- Light housekeeping
- Even massage for volunteers with the necessary skills
- Haircuts
- Pet Therapy
Extensive orientation and training sessions are provided as well as placements close to volunteer's home/work in Waycross area.

Heartland Hospice provides care to those who qualify for hospice services regardless of the ability to pay or their insurance coverage.
