COACHES NEEDED IN NORMANDY PARK FOR OUR SPRING SEASON. MARCH 13TH - MAY 26TH @ MARVISTA ELEMENTARY (19800 Marine View Dr SW, Normandy Park, WA 98166). MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 3:45-5:15pm.
Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole Coaches are the heart of our program and have an immense impact on the girls on their team. Coaches act as a team to lead a group of 6-15 girls through our curriculum for the 8-week season. We provide coaches with comprehensive INPERSON TRAINING and SUPPORT to ensure a successful and fun experience. Coaches are expected to attend practices for the entirety of the program. The season culminates in a fun, site-based 5k event!
Coaches do not have to be "runners"; they only need to have the desire to serve as role models for the girls by engaging with girls during practicing, encouraging girls throughout the lessons and workouts, leading a healthy lifestyle and maintaining positive attitudes. Coaches assist with family communication, behavior management, material pickup & distribution, and 5K preparation during the season. Coaches are volunteers and unpaid.
Girls on the Run is a non-profit organization that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident, using an experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
