MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF GIRLS IN ATLANTA!
Girls on the Run is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. The program combines training for a 5K running event with fun, self-esteem enhancing workouts. The goal of the program is to encourage positive emotional, social, and physical development so girls grow up to be healthy, active women.
HOW YOU CAN HELP Become a Volunteer Coach! Coaches are positive role models for the girls and use our curriculum to teach healthy habits through running games. Teams meet twice a week for 12 weeks in the fall and spring. All interested coaches must attend an information meeting, to register visit www.girlsontherunatlanta.org/volunteer.

Description
Girls on the Run is a physical activity based positive youth development program that uses running to develop and enhance girls' social, psychological, and physical competencies to successfully navigate life experiences. Here in Atlanta, we offer programs at elementary and middles schools and community sites in Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett Counties.
