ORGANIZATION: L.A. Works



Quick Overview: The RSVP Senior Corps at L.A. Works team is seeking members for their advisory board. RSVP offers volunteer opportunities uniquely designed to tap into the experience, skills, and wisdom of volunteers aged 55 and greater.

Impact: The advisory board supports strategy building for the RSVP program's future & sustainability for serving the needs of Los Angeles with volunteers 55+

Members with experience in the following areas are needed:

Volunteerism

Human resources/management/leadership

Older adult knowledge/gerontology

Social Connections

Education

Workforce Development

Major Responsibilities of Board Members:

Organizational leadership and advisement

Outreach and promotion of the organization

Advisement of policies and procedures

Oversight of program planning



Time Commitment:

Board meetings, 1 -2 hours once every 4 months

Occasional 1:1 with Director of RSVP Senior Corps

Participation in volunteer program & events (your choice)

Attendance at the annual RSVP Volunteer Appreciation Event

Requirements:

RSVP Volunteer Member

Live in or around Los Angeles

Upon "Expressing Interest" RSVP Associate Director will contact you with the board member application & set up an interview.
